Muhammad Didn't know his Torah from his Talmud. Mt. Sinai

While compiling the Qur'an, Muhammad was indiscriminate (even reckless) with the material he used as "Divine Inspiration". Many of his sources were pagan myths or legends, which were patently false. Although Muhammad did borrow from Jewish and Christian scripture, he could not even tell what was "cannon" and what was considered heretical. He treated it all the same! Whether it was a ridiculous Arab myth or a Christian legend, once Muhammad got a hold of it, it became fact! The very word of god himself...ALLAH!

Muhammad also didn't understand the difference between scripture and biblical commentary or opinions. This leads us to a very interesting verse in Surah Al-A'raf (7.1171), which states: When We RAISED THE MOUNT OVER THEM, as if it had been a canopy, and they thought it was going to fall on them (We said): “Hold firmly to what We have given you and bring (ever) to remembrance what is therein; perchance ye may fear Allah”.

Nowhere is this verse found in the Torah. But, Rabbi Avdimi bar Hama bar Hasa (long name!) did give his opinion on Exodus 19.17 which reads: Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Rabbi Hasa's opinion is recorded in the Babylonian Talmud Shabbat 88a: This teaches that the Holy One, blessed be He, overturned the mountain upon them like an [inverted] cask, and said to them, “If you accept the Torah, it is well; if not, here will be your grave.”

This view was very troubling for many Jewish Scholars as it made Yahweh look Coercive and Cruel. Later Jewish scholars would interpret the Israelites at Mt. Sinai with a softer message. The famous Philosopher and Jewish Scholar, Maimonides, interpreted the mountain as being made of glass. Therefore the mountain serves as a window to view God. In this interpretation God is no longer terrorizing the Israelites but rather opening up a channel to have a dialogue. Thus a God that is kind and loving.

Other Rabbis had their own interpretations. Regardless, this is Rabbinical nitpicking on semantics. Rabbis often would have (sometimes absurd) extrapolations on various verses in the Torah. The Talmud isn't scripture and it's not meant to be read but rather discussed and debated. Muhammad didn't know this and mistook OPINION as the Literal Word of God.

What if alcoholics acted like Islamists?

What if we catered to them the same way?........ Here's a top ten list of what that might look like:

 10.  The word drunk would be considered hate speech.

  9.  ‎"They" wouldn't be in need of help but more TOLERANCE.

  8.  Politicians, liberals and the media would argue that Drunk Driving should be looked at in  its proper cultural context!

  7.  Moderates would be wine drinkers.

  6.  Obama would reveal to the public that he once was an alcoholic.

  5.  State and Federal employees would be required to undergo sensitivity training by taking jello-shots.

  4.  Mel Gibson would be a powerful cleric hiding in an unknown Beverly Hills Mansion.

  3.  Wino-phobia would be the buzzword of the day.

  2.  Protesters would hold up poster boards declaring, "Death to those who insult Jack Daniels™".

And Lastly, (Drum Roll) Scroll Down

1. Alcoholism means Sobriety!!

SHAVING Your Wife's VAGINA AND Fondling YOUNG GIRLS. Muhammad's Shocking Advice!!

I was with Allah's Apostle in a Ghazwa, and when we returned, I wanted to hurry, while riding a slow camel. A rider came behind me. I looked back and saw that the rider was Allah's Apostle . He said (to me), "What makes you in such a hurry?" I replied, "I am newly married." He said, "Did you marry a virgin or a matron?" I replied, "(Not a virgin but) a matron."

He said, WHY DIDN’T YOU MARRY A YOUNG GIRL with whom you could PLAY and who could PLAY with you?"Then when we approached (Medina) and were going to enter (it), the Prophet said, "Wait till you enter (your homes) at night (in the first part of the night) so that the ladies with unkempt hair may comb their hair, and those whose husbands have been absent (for a long time) may SHAVE THEIR PUBIC HAIR."(The sub-narrator, Hashim said: A reliable narrator told me that the Prophet added in this Hadith: "(Seek to beget) children! Children,                 O Jabir!") Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 172: Narrated Jabir

In another Hadith, Jabir explains WHY he didn't marry a young girl:

"Allah's Apostle said to me, "Have you got married O Jabir?" I replied, "Yes." He asked "What, a virgin or a matron?" I replied, "Not a virgin but a matron." He said, "Why did you not marry a YOUNG GIRL who would have FONDLED WITH YOU?" I replied, "O Allah's Apostle! My father was martyred on the day of Uhud and left nine (orphan) daughters who are my nine sisters; so I disliked to have another young girl of their age, but (I sought) an (elderly) woman who could comb their hair and look after them." The Prophet said, "You have done the right thing." Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 59, Number 382: Narrated Jabir

Muhammad embarrassed by the man's decency could only agree with him.

The above picture is of Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al Sheikh Saudi Arabia's grand mufti who told Al Hayat newspaper that those saying ten or 12-year-old girls are too young to marry are being ‘unfair’ to them.

Allah "protects" the Kaaba. (Epic Fail!)

Al-Fil, or The Elephant
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
1.  Seest thou not how thy Lord DEALT with the Companions of the Elephant?
2.  Did He not Make their treacherous plan go astray?
3.  And He sent against them FLIGHTS of BIRDS.
4.  STRIKING them with STONES OF BAKED CLAY.
5.  Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.

So, what exactly is this Surah saying? To understand these verses, we need to know the story behind them as described in the Sirat (life of Muhammad). With that, let's begin.....

Once Upon A Time, a military commander named Abrahah Al-Ashram built a huge and magnificent church (which the likes have never been seen before) in honor of the King of Ethopia, King An-Najashi and to divert pilgrims from the Kaaba. In retaliation one of the pagans defecated inside the holy church. Abrahah then vowed to destroy the Kaaba by sending an army with elephants.

But Allah knew of their wicked plans and decided to destroy Abrahah's army. So he sent black birds, each carrying three stones with their beaks and claws. When the birds approached the army they gave a loud cry and flung their stones. Allah then sent a fierce wind to increase the speed of the stones so that they passed through the men and all was destroyed.

From this story we learn that Allah really, really loves the Kaaba. But, how has the Kaaba fared since Muhammad? According to history, not too well. In 683 (or 756) the Umayyad forces attacked Mecca. Rocks fired from Catapults destroyed (or partially) destroyed the Kaaba and smashed the holy black stone into pieces in the process. The fragments of the stone later had to be joined together will a silver ligament (Thus giving its familiar appearance we see today). If that wasn't enough, in 930 the Qarmatians attacked Mecca during the Hajj. Massacred pilgrims were thrown in the holy Zamzam well and the black stone was STOLEN and held for ransom for 22 years!

Hmmmmm.  Why would Allah protect the Kaaba and the black stone under pagan rule? But  under Muslim ownership, Allah allows the Kaaba to be destroyed twice, flooded and his holy black stone  to be SMASHED, DESECRATED, STOLEN and held for RANSOM???

1941 Mecca Flood. The Kaaba sits in filthy flood water. No love from Allah.

Will YOU Be My Friend?........Please!

I think Aristotle summed it up best when he asked: What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies. With that said, what does the Qur'an have to say about friendship? Let's take a look:

4.144 O ye who believe! Take NOT for friends Unbelievers rather than Believers: do ye wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves.
4.139 Those who take for friends Unbelievers rather than believers. Is it honor they seek among them? Nay, all honor is with Allah.
5.51 O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) IS OF THEM! Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
5.55 Your (REAL FRIENDS) are (NO LESS THAN) AllahHis Messenger, and the BELIEVERS-those who establish regular prayers and pay Zakat and they bow down humbly in worship.
5.57 O ye who believe! Take not for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery or sport-whether among those who received the Scripture before you, or among those who reject Faith: but fear ye Allah, if ye have Faith (indeed).
5.82 Strongest among men in enmity to the Believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the Believers wilt thou find those who say, “We are Christians”: because amongst these are men devoted to learning. Amd men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.
3.118 O you who believe! Take NOT into you intimacy those OUTSIDE your ranks. They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire for you to suffer. Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths. What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the Signs, if you have wisdom.
53.29 Therefore SHUN those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing but the life of this world.
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: DO NOT GREET the JEWS and the CHRISTIANS BEFORE they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads FORCE HIM to go to the NARROWEST part of it. Sahih Muslim Book 026, Number 5389: (Hadith)

Hmmmmmmmm, that doesn't sound very friendly!! Are there any exceptions?(as Allah is most wise, just and merciful) Actually, there is!

3.28 Let not the Believers take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than Believers: if any do that, shall have NO RELATION left with Allah EXCEPT by way of precaution that you may guard yourselves from them. But, Allah cautions you to fear Himself for the final goal is to Allah.
I think this verse sums it all up!!
3.110 You are the best of Peoples, evolved for mankind, ENJOINING WHAT IS RIGHT, FORBIDDING WHAT IS WRONG, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had Faith, ot were best for them: among them are some who have Faith, but most of them are PERVERTED TRANSGRESSORS.

Death for Apostasy?

What is the purpose of this violent story in the Qur'an? It starts with Moses meeting a guide who is superior in knowledge and authority.

18.64 Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come).

18.65 So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence.
18.66 Moses said to him: "May I follow thee, on the footing that thou teach me something of the (Higher) Truth which thou hast been taught?"
18.67 (The other) said: "Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!"
18.68 "And how canst thou have patience about things about which thy understanding is not complete?"
18.69 Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught."
18.70 The other said: "If then thou wouldst follow me, ask me no questions about anything until I myself speak to thee concerning it."

18.71 So they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: "Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!"
18.72 He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?"
18.73 Moses said: "Rebuke me not for forgetting, nor grieve me by raising difficulties in my case."
18.74 Then they proceeded: until, when they met a young boy, he slew him. Moses said: “Hast thou slain an innocent person who had slain none? Truly a foul (unheard of) thing hast thou done!
18.75 He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?"
18.76 (Moses) said: "If ever I ask thee about anything after this, keep me not in thy company: then wouldst thou have received (full) excuse from my side."
18.77 Then they proceeded: until, when they came to the inhabitants of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused them hospitality. They found there a wall on the point of falling down, but he set it up straight. (Moses) said: "If thou hadst wished, surely thou couldst have exacted some recompense for it!"
18.78 He answered: "This is the parting between me and thee: now will I tell thee the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience.
18.79 "As for the boat, it belonged to certain men in dire want: they plied on the water: I but wished to render it unserviceable, for there was after them a certain king who seized on every boat by force.
18.80 "As for the youth, his parents were people of Faith, and we feared that he would grieve them by obstinate rebellion and ingratitude (to Allah and man).
18.81 "So we desired that their Lord would give them in exchange (a son) better in purity (of conduct) and closer in affection. The part about the little boy explained.

Tafsir al-Jalaylayn
18.74 So they set off, after leaving the ship, making their way on foot, until, when they met a boy, who had not yet reached puberty, playing with [other] boys, among whom his face was the fairest — and he, al-Khidr, slew him, by slitting his throat with a knife while he lay down, or by tearing his head off with his hand, or by smashing his head against a wall, all of which are [different] opinions (the coordinating fā’ [of fa-qatalahu, ‘and he slew him’] is used here because [it indicates that] the slaying took place after the encounter; the response to idhā, ‘when’ is [the following statement, qāla …]) — he, Moses, said, to him: ‘Have you slain an innocent soul, that is, a pure one that had not reached the age of [legal] responsibility (a variant reading [for zākiya] has zakiyya), [one slain] not in retaliation for another soul?, in other words, one that has not slain any soul. Verily you have committed an dreadful thing’ (read nukran or nukuran), that is to say, an abomination.

18.80 And as for the boy, his parents were believers and We feared lest he should overwhelm them with insolence and disbelief — for he is as [described] by the hadīth of Muslim, ‘He was [incorrigibly] disposed to disbelief, and had he lived [longer] this [disposition of his] would have oppressed them, because of their love for him, they would have followed him in such [a path of disbelief]’.

Shhhhhh.....Don't tell the Gecko!!

Muhammad's reign of terror was not limited to unbelievers. Even little lizards were not immune from his wrath. In fact, the Gecko has his very own chapter in Sahih Muslim.

Chapter 35: THE DESIRABILITY OF KILLING A GECKO (HOUSE LIZARD)

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who KILLED A GECKO with the first stroke for him is such and such a Reward, and he who killed it with a second stroke for him is such and such Reward less than the first one, and he who killed it with the third stroke for him is such and such a Reward less than the second one.
Sahih Muslim Book 026, Number 5564:

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Abu Huraira through another chain of transmitters (and the words are): - He who killed a gecko with the first stroke for him are ordained one hundred virtues, and with the second one less than that and with the third one less than that.
Sahih Muslim Book 026, Number 5565

Amir b. Sa'd reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) commanded the KILLING OF GECKOS, and he called them little noxious creatures.
Sahih Muslim Book 26, Number 5562

RUN AWAY MY LITTLE FRIEND!
